Red wine with ageing from the Clos Pons estate. Its name connects us to this territory: Alges is a contraction of Albagés, the village where the vineyard is located. Extreme climatic conditions and low yields are reflected in a wine of deep, intense colour, with powerful aromas of ripe fruit and elegant oak notes. On the palate it is concentrated and full of character, with a notable bouquet of red fruit jam, liquorice and spiced notes over a mineral backbone. The finish is persistent, rich and silky. Aged for 9 months in 300L barrels of French and American oak, predominantly French. The magnum format (1.5 L) proportionally reduces oxygen contact, favouring a slower and more harmonious evolution. The result is better integrated tannins and acidity, a silkier and rounder texture on the palate, and greater ageing potential and complexity. Truly Gourmand, ideal for lamb and all types of white and red meats of medium intensity.
